The criteria of the top three colors has been determined by the vividness of the color, the amount of people wearing the color, and the general publics primary favorite color. It can be assumed, that the brightest colors and the most eye catching colors with be the dominant favorites among people. So, therefore with a study performed by the F.C.S.O.C (Favorite Color Seekers of Canada), they have taken thousands of surveys, only to convey to the color enthusiasts of today, the statistics of the three most top rated colors across the country, and with those statistics we could estimate that these colors are favorites around the globe.

The icy cool color of blue has reached number three on our list of the country's top colors. Avid survey and poll lovers, who have frequently answered our many questions have helped us in our quest to find out the country's favorites on the spectrum of light. Blue has the vibrancy of the hottest of flames but is almost always associated with very low temperatures, sadness, or even elements such as water and on top of all that, blue still remains one of the most commonly worn colors around the world (eg; Jeans). The word itself is derived from the Old French word bleu, giving it it's romantic sound and helping "blue" to roll gracefully off the tongue. Everyone will always and forever be, "forever in blue jeans".

Oh, red. Lovely, beautiful, warm, glowing red. The average color people wear, especially in the Christmas season. The color of romance and passion, and on the other side of the spectrum, bloody murder and anger. Red, with its many different connotations was a very close draw for the number one color. The word red, from the old English rēad, can be associated with strong emotions and leads the mind into thinking of wondrous things. Its vividness is extreme and can be considered one of the brightest colors of the rainbow, next to ones such as yellow and orange. But, this fiery primary color will always remain among the top of the worlds citizens favorites, and many people will always be the the biggest fans of red.

The word green is closely related to the verb old English verb growan, “to grow”. Its superiority was destined to be the general favorite of many people on account of its many available colors on the spectrum. Although it isn't one of the primary colors, it can be said that it is even more fantastic because it has two primary colors within it, blue, and yellow. Green is also among the favorite colors of ensembles for the everyday ecologist and for those who are promoting the awareness of "greening up" our planet as well. Lime green, forest green, olive green, swamp green and sage, are only a very few of the numerous amounts of versions of the ever beloved green.
